OUR FATHER WHO ADOPTED US AS SONS
Ephesians 3 - 6.
The apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians, after an introductory preamble, plunges into a heavy revelatory exposition of the pathway of mere fallen men into the family of God. This pathway was established from before the groundwork was laid for the creation of the world.
This pathway that was carved out by our heavenly Father bestowed spiritual blessings on those He had chosen so that they could be set apart and blameless having been adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Those selected by the Father's sovereign choosing were made acceptable as sons in the company of the eternal Beloved by the glory of His grace.
Amen.
