OUR FATHER WHO SENT MINISTERS TO TAKE THE MYSTERY OF THE GOSPEL TO THE GENTILES
In the book of Ephesians chapter 3 verses 1 - 7, the apostle Paul describes how it came to be that he, a man from among the Jews, was tasked with taking the good news of the gospel to dispense among the gentiles.
1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power.
He explained that a great mystery was revealed to him by Godˋs Holy Spirit such that he could now understand that the Gentiles, in spite of their distance from any knowledge of God, were qualified to hear the gospel and could indeed believe it and could be saved in the same way that Jews were.
Paul speaks about how this mystery, which had not been made known to previous generations, made provision for gentiles to be able to inherit the promises of the God of Israel and Paul tells of how he was made a minister of this grace that was to be given as the very power of salvation among the gentiles.
Amen.
