OUR FATHER WHO IS GLORIFIED BY THE CHURCH REDEEMED THROUGH THE LORD JESUS
The book of Ephesians chapter 3 verses 14 - 21 says this;
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
The Apostle Paul, having previously explained how an intricate work for the salvation of all men was planned from before the beginning of the world, expresses how he is humbled and in awe of God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ from where all families on earth are derived. Paul implores the Father to strengthen the innner men (the regenerated spirit) of the believers at Ephesus so that by their faith, it was condusive (because they were securely stable in love) for Christ to dwell in them.
In this condition, the believers in Ephesus would be in a position to grasp (along with all the saints) the width, length, depth and height of the love of Christ which exceeds what knowledge is able to encompass. By, continuing to be ensconced in the love of God, believers grow in their knowledge of God and they are increasingly filled until the fulness of God is in them.
Paul then effusively glorifies God declaring that He, in His power, is able to exceed our requests and thoughts such that He is eternal gloried by all generations of the Church set up by Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
